An interesting opportunity to join Transport for Wales (TfW) as we grow as an organisation to lead our compliance in association with the Public Records Act. Creating and managing a comprehensive system including procedures, systems and behaviours that ensures that evidence of actions and decisions is kept for reference.
You’ll be developing the records management framework, its implementation and management within TfW, working closely with corporate governance and the programme management office to develop policies and processes to support compliance with information legislation.
You'll be responsible for training individuals within each directorate on the importance of records management and its adherence to the Public Records Act, by acting as the subject matter expert to provide consistency within TfW.
You'll also be responsible for information to be managed from the point of creation until it is destroyed or selected to be transferred to the National Archive. Ensuring compliance with the Public Records Act so that decisions and records are available for public viewing if desired.
Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced Sharepoint professional, who has demonstrable experience of working with the Public Records Act, Freedom of Information and GDPR to enable TfW to implement a comprehensive system to stay compliant.
You’ll need to have:
o Certified SharePoint Administrator e.g. MCSE or similar, or equivalent experience.
o Demonstrable evidence of defining and implementing a compliant Public Records Act framework.
o Demonstrable evidence and knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act; Public Records Act; and General Data Protection Regulations.
o Demonstrable experience of embedding a culture of good records management.
It would be beneficial if you also had:
o Experience of selecting information management systems to integrate public records with document management.
o Experience of developing individuals to assist with the transition from vision to business as usual in relation to public records keeping.
