Transport for Wales (TfW) will be supporting the Welsh Government in administering public transport grants and funding to ensure an accessible transport network in Wales
Due to this collaboration an excited opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Grants and Funding team to undertake the administration of transport financial support and systems provided through Transport for Wales, which are used to support delivery of transport functions across Wales.
You’ll be administering grant applications by communicating the current guidelines to applicants, as well as processing, checking and assessing applications to ensure applications are compliant in line with Welsh Government guidelines.
You’ll also need provide support (email, phone and face to face) to grant applicants, contract holders and to the concessionary card scheme where needed to ensure effective grant, contract and scheme delivery.
Work with the TfW supply chain to maintain a list of known system issues and participate in contact with suppliers to manage and update systems to ensure system continuity.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who has a high level of detail and has experience of working in a role that ensures financial compliance.
As a minimum requirement you’ll:
- Educated to degree level or similar.
- Previous experience in a role which requires a high level of attention to detail such as; public sector financial administration, public transport finance, grant funding or similar.
- High level of computer literacy, specifically relating to Microsoft Office packages and database/CRM systems.
- The ability to analyse complex information and determine and outcome or solution.
