Due to a points failure between Stockport (SPT) and Wilmslow (WML):
Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Manchester Piccadilly (MAN) and Wilmslow (WML).
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected until the end of the day.
We have been made aware of a points failure at/between Stockport and Wilmslow.
As a result, train services will be able diverted via Styal,until the end of the day until the points have been fixed.
Our colleagues at Network Rail/Amey Infrastructure are aware of the problem and technicians are currently at the affected area/points.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.
