Due to a points failure between Stockport (SPT) and Wilmslow (WML):
Services will be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Manchester Piccadilly (MAN) and Wilmslow (WML).
We expect the incident to last until 12:00 and disruption to services is expected until 13:00.
We have been made aware of a points failure between Stockport and Wilmslow.
As a result, train services will not be able to run through the area until the points have been fixed.
Services will be diverted via Styal.
Our colleagues at Network Rail/Amey Infrastructure are aware of the problem and technicians are currently en route to the affected area/points.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.
