Due to a fault on a train between Swansea (SWA) and Shrewsbury (SHR):
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 17:48 until the end of the day.
We have been made aware of a train fault, affecting our services between Swansea and Shrewsbury on the Heart of Wales line.
As a result, our 17:48 Swansea - Shrewsbury service via the Heart of Wales will now start at Llandrindod. Our 18:35 Shrewsbury - Swansea service via the Heart of Wales will terminate at Llandrindod.
Our services between Swansea and Shrewsbury via the Heart of Wales line are disrupted in both directions, and will remain disrupted until end of service today.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Swansea and Shrewsbury to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at:
- Swansea at approximately 18:30 calling all stops to Llandrindod, provided by Francis. Customers can then change at Llandrindod for replacement road transport calling all stops between Llandrindod and Shrewsbury, provided by AC Jenkins.
- Llandrindod at approximately 20:30 calling all stops to Swansea, operated by Gower.
These arrangements are in place on services until end of service today.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
