Due to a safety inspection of the track at Conwy (CNW):
Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Holyhead (HHD) and Chester (CTR).
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected from 18:15 until the end of the day.
What's Happened?
We have been made aware of a broken rail at Conwy
For safety, train services will not be able to run through the area until it has been fixed.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are on site and trying to rectify the issue with the track.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.

Alternative Travel Options
You can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:
- Route 4 and 4A provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Holyhead and Bangor.
- Route 5 and 5D provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Bangor and Llandudno Junction.
- Route 13 provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Llandudno Junction and Rhyl.
- Route 11C and 11F provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Rhyl and Flint.
- Route 11 provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Flint and Chester.

We have organised buses to run between Llandudno Junction and Holyhead to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at Llandudno Junction at approximately 19:15 provided by Llew Jones and Dilwyns running all stops to Holyhead.
We have also organised busses at Holyhead for passengers to head towards Llandudno Junction. These will arrive at Holyhead at approximately 21:00.
These arrangements are in place on services until 23:59.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
