Due to a lorry colliding with a bridge between Bidston (BID) and Wrexham Central (WXC):

Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Bidston (BID) and Wrexham Central (WXC).

We expect the incident to last until 14:00 and disruption to services is expected until 16:00.

What's Happened?

A road vehicle has hit a railway bridge at Shotton Station meaning trains cannot run until the line is inspected. We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey.

We expect the incident to be rectified by 14:00 however residual delays and cancellations may persist until 16:00.

Alternative Travel Options

We have organised buses to run between Bidston and Wrexham Central to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost. These will arrive at approximately 13:40 to work the first services affected. These services will be provided by Keane's Coaches.

13:21 Bidston to Wrexham Central

14:06 Bidston to Wrexham Central

14:28 Wrexham Central to Bidston

Due to a fault with the signalling system between Newport (South Wales) (NWP) and Chepstow (CPW):

Services may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

We expect the incident to last until 13:20 and disruption to services is expected until 14:00.

What Happened?

Network Rail have carried out repairs to the signalling between Newport and Chepstow and Transport for Wales services are now running at normal speed along the route. We expect residual delays on services between Cheltenham Spa and Cardiff Central of up to 20 minutes in both directions until 14:00.
