Due to a fault with the signalling system between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Welshpool (WLP):
Services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Shrewsbury (SHR) and Aberystwyth (AYW).
We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected until the end of the day.
We have been made aware of a signal failure between Shrewsbury and Welshpool.
As a result, train services will be impacted until the signal has been fixed.
Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware of the problem and technicians are currently en route to the affected area.
We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
