We expect the incident to last until 14:30 and disruption to services is expected until 14:30.
We have been made aware of emergency services dealing with an incident between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.
As a result, our services will be unable to run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Airport until the incident has cleared.
Our services between Llandudno and Manchester Airport are disrupted in both directions.
We expect the incident to be cleared by 14:30. Train services may be cancelled or delayed in the area until approximately 14:30.
Alternative Travel Options:
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- Between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Victoria with Northern until 14:30.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following Metrolink services in the Manchester area to complete your journey until 14:30.
- Piccadilly (Zone 1) to Manchester Airport (Zone 4). Please change at St Peter's Square for Metrolink services to Manchester Airport.
- Victoria (Zone 1) to Manchester Airport (Zone 4).
We have organised buses to run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Airport to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive at
- Warrington Bank Quay at approximately 12:30 provided by Keanes.
- Manchester Airport at approximately 12:30 provided by Keanes.
These arrangements are in place on services until 14:30.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
