Due to severe weather between Wolverhampton (WVH) and Birmingham International (BHI):
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Wolverhampton (WVH) and Birmingham International (BHI).
We expect the incident to last until 20:00 and disruption to services is expected from 03:23 on 11/07/2026 until the end of the day.
What's Happened?
We expect to have a reduced number of trains available on Sunday 12th July whilst our depot teams work to ensure our on board air conditioning is fully functional.
This means Transport For Wales services will start and terminate at Wolverhampton instead of Birmingham New Street or Birmingham International.
Rail services between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury are expected to be busy meaning conditions on board could be very warm. Customers who are feeling unwell should consider whether they need to travel. If you do travel, you should bring water, stay hydrated and speak to a member of the onboard team immediately if you begin to feel unwell.
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- CrossCountry services between Wolverhampton and Birmingham International in both directions
- Avanti West Coast services between Wolverhampton and Birmingham International in both directions
These arrangements are in place on services until the end of the day:
