Services may be cancelled in both directions between Machynlleth (MCN) and Pwllheli (PWL).

We expect the incident to last until 20:00 and disruption to services is expected until 20:00.

What's Happened?

Due to a shortage of trains as a result of extreme heat, the following services will be cancelled:

14:56 Machynlleth to Barmouth - unable to source

15:58 Barmouth to Pwllheli - rail replacement will be provided by Clynnog.

17:42 Pwllheli to Machynlleth - rail replacement will be provided by Cae Lloi

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Wrexham Central (WXC) and Bidston (BID).

We expect the incident to last until 23:59 and disruption to services is expected until 23:59.

What's Happened?

Due to a shortage of trains, fewer trains are able to run between Bidston and Wrexham Central.

We apologise for the disruption caused to your journey.

Rail replacement will be provided by Keanes coaches. Please see departure times below:

Departure times from Wrexham Central - 16:34 (from Wrexham General), 17:42, 19:46 (from Wrexham General), 21:53

Departure times from Bidston - 15:34, 16:21, 17:51, 18:47, 20:47

Customers can also travel on the reduced rail service operating between Bidston and Wrexham at no extra cost.

Services may be cancelled in both directions between Aberystwyth (AYW) and Shrewsbury (SHR).

We expect the incident to last until the end of the day and disruption to services is expected until the end of the day.

We regret that due to issues with air conditioning on our older fleets, some services between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury will be cancelled.

Very few rail services will be running between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth. Rail replacement will be provided by Lloyds Coaches between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth. Rail replacement between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth will be provided by Pats, Lloyds Coaches and Lakeside.

Customers are advised that rail replacement may be running late and serviced will be busy.

G23 between Barmouth and Minffordd with Lloyds Coaches

T28 between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth with Lloyds Coaches

X75 between Aberystwyth and Newtown with Celtic Travel

T12 between Welshpool and Machynlleth via Newtown with Lloyds Coaches

T2 and T28 provided by Lloyds Coaches between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth.

3 between Porthmadog and Pwllheli with Cae Lloi

Customers with rail tickets travelling on T2 Traws Cymru buses to Bangor can connect with Transport for Wales rail services from Bangor to Birmimgham via Shrewsbury at no extra cost.

We regret that due to issues with air conditioning on our older fleets, Transport for Wales services will not run between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International. You may use your ticket on West Midlands Railway services at no extra cost.

Services will be cancelled in both directions between Llandudno (LLD) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (BFF).

We expect the incident to last until 00:00 on 14/08/2026 and disruption to services is expected until 06:30 on 14/08/2026.

Replacement road transport supplied by Llew Jones will replace most services between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog at no extra cost.

Departures from Llandudno at 0750, 1010, 1310,1610, 1910.

Departures from Blaenau Ffestiniog at 0620, 0840, 1140 1440, 1740, 2010.

Approximate journey times are 15 minutes Llandundo to Llandudno Junction and 80 minutes Llandundo Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
