Due to signalling staff being unavailable between Cardiff Central (CDF) and Shrewsbury (SHR):
We expect the incident to last until 18:00 and disruption to services is expected until 18:00.
We have been made aware of signalling staff being unavailable in the Abergavenny area, resulting in Abergavenny Signal Box being closed from 07:00.
For safety, our services will be unable to run between Newport (South Wales) and Hereford in both directions until Abergavenny Signal Box has reopened.
Our services between Cardiff Central and Shrewsbury via the Marches main line are disrupted in both directions.
We expect the incident to be cleared by 18:00. Train services may be cancelled or delayed in the area until approximately 18:00.
We anticipate our last northbound service before the signal box closure to be our 05:48 Cardiff Central - Manchester Piccadilly service, with our last southbound service before the signal box closure to be our 05:15 Shrewsbury - Fishguard Harbour service.
