The emergency services have been dealing with an incident at Shotton. The line has now reopened and services are able to run.

Alternative Travel Options
Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- Northern between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly
- Avanti between Crewe and Holyhead
These arrangements are in place on services until 18:00 today.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Limited rail replacement services have been running but will now complete their journeys and stand down.
You can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:
- Route 13 provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Llandudno Junction and Rhyl.
- Route 11C and 11F provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Rhyl and Flint.
- Route 11 provided by Arriva Bus Wales between Flint and Chester.
