Due to the train driver being taken ill at Mountain Ash (MTA):

Services may be delayed by up to 15 minutes.

Services will be cancelled at Mountain Ash (MTA).

We expect the incident to last until 12:30 and disruption to services is expected until 13:30.

New: Incident due to a points failure between Runcorn (RUN) and Liverpool South Pw Ll (LPY) until 12:00.

Due to a points failure between Runcorn (RUN) and Liverpool South Pw Ll (LPY):

Services may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

We expect the incident to last until 12:00 and disruption to services is expected from 08:40 until 15:00.

We have been made aware of a points failure between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway.

For safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area, with residual delays of around 20 minutes to be expected.

Our colleagues at Network Rail are aware of the problem and technicians are currently on site at the affected area.

We will publish more information here, once we have received an update from the infrastructure technicians.

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
