Due to a fault with barriers at a level crossing at Pontyclun (PYC):
Services may be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Services will be cancelled in both directions between Bridgend (BGN) and Maesteg (MST).
We expect the incident to last until 20:30 and disruption to services is expected until 21:30.
What's Happened?
Due to a fault with the barriers at a level crossing, for safety, train services will be running more slowly than normal through the area at Pontyclun, with residual delays of around 15 minutes to be expected.
Please continue to travel as planned, but expect delays and cancellations on your journey.
Alternative Travel Options:
We have organised buses to run between Bridgend and Maesteg in both directions to assist customers to complete journeys where possible at no extra cost. These will arrive as follows:
- At Tondu heading towards Maesteg at approximately 19:30 provided by Ridgeway.
- At Maesteg heading towards Bridgend at approximately 19:07 and 21:27 provided by Ridgeway.
- At Cardiff Central heading towards Maesteg at approximately 20:16 provided by Teulu
- At Bridgend heading towards Maesteg at approximately 20:43 provided by Ridgeway.
These arrangements are in place on services until 21:30.
Road Transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
